Kelly Yates is a celebrated barrel racer known for her exceptional skills and competitive spirit in the rodeo arena. With a career spanning several decades, Yates has achieved numerous titles and accolades, showcasing her talent and dedication to the sport. These include being the Reserve World Champion at the 2000 PRCA/WPRA, and her horse Firewater Fiesta won AQHA/PRCA Barrel Horse of the Year twice. Yates and Firewater Fiesta qualified for the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) three times. Her expertise and consistency have made her a respected figure in the barrel racing community. In addition to competing, Yates also contributes to the sport through training and mentoring upcoming riders, sharing her knowledge and passion for barrel racing.
