Cody Crow: AQHA Ranch Riding Pattern 3 on a Green 3-Year-Old

Same AQHA ranch riding pattern 3, very different horse. Cody Crow of No Where But UP Performance Horses rides a green three-year-old in a snaffle and shows how he adjusts: carrying his hand a little lower and to the side so he can steady a wobbly horse without telling on him to the judges, staying active with his leg instead of going soft, and asking for a moderate extension so he doesn't wreck the transition that follows. When the colt gets looky before the change, Cody takes the simple lead change instead — and explains why that's not a compromise, recalling a senior mare that got plus-oned by every judge for exactly that call. He closes by scoring his own run against the finished horse from the previous episode, laying out the real difference between an average run and a credit-earning one.
