The group looks back at how much the sport has changed. Carlee remembers when it wasn't on TV, everything traveled by word of mouth, and the same few horses showed up in the top five every time. Now there are horses and competitors nobody has heard of that can come out of nowhere and beat the field. The depth of competition has grown dramatically and on any given day almost anyone can take your money. Ty adds that the drag they do halfway through now has taken some of the pressure off the draw by keeping the ground more consistent. More opportunity, better ground, and a whole lot more competition. The sport looks different than it did fifteen years ago.
